Symptomatic Blanket
is a textile artwork that collects the ongoing geopolitical developments across Europe. Structured loosely as a map — providing a sense of direction (north, south, east, west) from a particular point in time — it functions as
a living archive of significant events across the continent. Serving as an "observatory"
of political and cultural transformations, this piece is continuously updated,
layer by layer, capturing events as they unfold. The fabric becomes a surface for documenting a "subjective history" of contemporary Europe, weaving current affairs
into its very texture, changing over time and thus displaying a new version every time it is exhibited.
