random vegetation for direct democracy

2015

In 2015, the Hellenic Republic held a referendum campaign, led by the Syriza government in power, in which the majority of voters opted to leave the European Union. This decision followed the EU's treatment of the so-called 'pig countries', and consequently, Greece was compelled to remain within the European Union despite the outcomes of the referendum.
This piece draws parallels with Joseph Beuys' «Rose for Direct Democracy» (1973).
